Did you know, humans have 70,000 thoughts per day on an average? That said, the factors contributing to poor memory are many – stress, depression, anxiety. Almost everyone regardless of age or occupation would like to have an excellent memory. However, the fact is that many people suffer from memory loss.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conducted a large survey and found that 13 percent of Senior Americans, i.e., one in every eight Americans, are suffering from memory loss.
Not only senior people but young adults are facing the same storm. According to another study conducted by the researchers at Gallup and the University of California, Los Angeles, 14% of men and women aged between 18 and 39 complain of poor memory.
Though most memories we have come from the age of 15-25, many adults have an attention span of 20 minutes, where their short-term memory system can hold seven things only for 20 seconds. The inability to recall information when we need it is not only frustrating it can be embarrassing as well.
However, Hypnotherapy can help you focus attention on either part of the memory system, how the information was stored as well as how to recall it.
In America, hypnosis is still used for forensic police research to mine information from witnesses and patients.

We came through a report published by the Coventry Telegraph which stated a woman, who was raped by her former partner. Though, the woman filed a complaint against the accused, the woman could not remember the episode completely due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). And, hence the case was closed.
She was quoted saying, ““My memory the morning after the attack wasn’t great and when I went on to discuss what happened that night with colleagues I was hindered on what I could remember. That went on for a year and was the reason the case was dropped.”
Well, out of desperation to get justice made her choose Hypnotherapy to help her recall the memory. And now, the woman remember every moment of the night she says she was raped – with the help of hypnotherapy.
She further said, “There was nothing [I could remember] from a certain time of the night until when I got up, those were the gaps that were missing. But when I saw David (Hypnotherapist) my recollection was quite immediate. It all came back in one session. I had done other therapy so I had tried other things, but none of it had worked with helping me to find the missing information.”
Hypnotherapy can be a wonderful tool when used by skilled therapists. Few Hypnotherapy sessions can help you overcome mental blocks and improve concentration, focus, and relaxation and achieve excellent memory skills.
